While playing Wii Fit, the game registers a person’s B.M.I, or body mass index. A person’s B.M.I is calculated in the game the same way it is registered by health departments. The B.M.I refers to the approximate body fat in a person based on height and weight. B.M.I does not take into account how often a person is active, and there are notable incidents where athletes have been recorded as obese even though they have a low body fat percentage.
B.M.I Gauge
According to the National Health Institute, the following is the standard B.M.I calculator
1. Underweight: 18.5 or below
2. Average: 18.5 to 24.9
3. Overweight: 25.0 to 29.9
4. Obese: 30.0 and higher
